Synopsis

The informal settlements studied were manifested, in the first instance, in relation to the existing quality of life within them; furthermore, they allowed for a diagnosis of how the articulation of the settlement is projected within its immediate and mediate contexts. The following conclusions were obtained from the analysis performed.

Regarding the quality of life, it can be stated that no significant transformation is foreseen in the medium term, and the territorial growth of these settlements is unlikely to change substantially. This is due to the fact that neighborhood expansion is dominated by the community's unmet basic needs, which continues to adversely affect their quality of life.
