Synopsis

Socially strengthening the habitat fundamentally implies taking into account the diagnosis established in the studied informal settlements, along with the following premises for the formulation of strategies.

Regarding resilience, sociocultural and ecological aspects were primarily considered, allowing for the generation of processes focused on adaptability, self-sufficiency, prevention, harm reduction, resistance, absorption, and recovery from the effects of such threats in an opportune and efficient manner across different scenarios—even though these settlements currently present problems regarding generative and physical resilience.
