Synopsis

It has provided an unparalleled setting for reflecting on the current state of human rights in areas such as peace processes, migration, and the environment; it has also served as an opportunity to unite the perspectives of Europe and Latin America into a single voice. It has thus served as a bridge that unites—rather than pits against one another—legal scholars, researchers, and academics on both sides of the Atlantic, much as occurred, in a sense, during the historic event of the 15th century—an event we must continue to honor on October 12, 1492.

Director de la Red Hispanoamericana de Derechos Humanos Francisco de Vitoria.

Doctor en Derecho por la Universidad de Burgos, catedrático de Derecho Administrativo y director de la Red Hispanoamericana de Derechos Humanos Francisco de Vitoria. Especialista en derechos humanos, gobernanza, administraciones públicas locales, TIC y derecho energético. Cuenta con más de cien publicaciones jurídicas, destacándose recientemente sus investigaciones sobre migración y derechos humanos.
