Synopsis
It has provided an unparalleled setting for reflecting on the current state of human rights in areas such as peace processes, migration, and the environment; it has also served as an opportunity to unite the perspectives of Europe and Latin America into a single voice. It has thus served as a bridge that unites—rather than pits against one another—legal scholars, researchers, and academics on both sides of the Atlantic, much as occurred, in a sense, during the historic event of the 15th century—an event we must continue to honor on October 12, 1492.
